  • Jonathan McKie

    Jonathan McKie

    Director

    Jonathan joined Ocellics in 2013 after serving as Lead Software Architect at RisCura. He leads software architecture and product development across the Ocellics Group, with a particular focus on fund-data platforms, automation and scalable operational systems. Jonathan has played a central role in designing the technology that underpins Ocellics Fund Data Services and in building the development team that supports it. Outside work, he enjoys touch rugby and trail running.

    Steve Estcourt B.Bus Sc. (Fin), MSc

    Managing Director

    Steve spent the first twelve years of his career in London, building valuation, analytics and control systems for financial institutions. After returning to South Africa, he focused on developing technology and data solutions for the local investment industry. He founded Ocellics Fund Data Services in 2016, combining deep investment-industry knowledge with a practical approach to fund-data operations, reporting and automation.

    Robert Davis B. Eng

    Senior Fund Data Engineer

    After a BEng in Chemical Engineering at Stellenbosch University, Robert moved into data and technology with formal studies in Computer Science and Data Science. As Senior Fund Data Engineer at Ocellics FDS, he builds and optimises data pipelines, validation frameworks and reporting workflows, working with clients to turn complex, multi-source data into reliable, analytics-ready outputs for investment teams. He uses SQL, data modelling and cloud architectures to improve data quality, automation and efficiency, designing scalable solutions for consistent, auditable, repeatable fund reporting.

    Karel Botha

    Fund Data Engineer

    Karel is a data engineer with a BCom (Investment Management) degree from Stellenbosch University, specialising in ETL development, data warehousing, and business intelligence, with experience in the financial services industry. He is currently pursuing the CFA designation to deepen his knowledge of finance and investment analysis.
